Hi, I’m Bob, there’s a story involved around the jellybean bit.
So I/we have a 2007 Z4 2.0 roadster, 69k on the clock. It’s been fairly trouble free until recently. I had the roof motor relocated into the boot around 2 years ago but it’s packed in again, as did the spare key after the existing ran out of power. Keys fixed now but the roof unfortunately not. I’ve fitted a new motor but even after several attempts at bleeding still no joy. So I’m after some advice or someone who could fix the problem. In West Yorkshire area so looking for that local knowledge.

If you nip over to the Z4 Forum you will find there are a few members on there who do roof motor relocations and fault fixing at very reasonable rates
Nearest to you would be users Bigwinn in Lincoln, or Street in Newcastle. I do have Number5 who is also a roof expert over in Bristol also on the Z4 Forum.
Post your need on the forum and they will respond.

Thanks for that, I’ll try my local garage 500m away which is run by a BMW trained mechanic first and let you know how that works out.

There’s a place called the Zed Shed in Warrington that claims to have expertise in this field and also claim to fix things cheaper than other places.

Going by past posts on this and other forums think twice before using the Warrington place.

It was the warrington place who “repaired” it and replaced the keys initially! Both not working anymore. Looking for somewhere in a 30 mile radius of Leeds ideally.

Day out in Lincoln would be worth it, might get your keys sorted at the same time.
