@Lee rusty and I surprised @miller1098 fir his birthday on Tues. We found a shop that sold party hats, blowers and candles! The great thing was the staff came out singing to him too!

To think as well you have only covered one small area. It just carries on through Switzerland, Italy and Austria always changing

No mate. BMW in Brugge say the car is terminally ill and can't be repaired, but they probably just put a code reader on it. It's still in Brugge until the RAC return it to my home. It could be up to 3 weeks they say.

When I get it back I'll strip the covers off the engine and have a look.

If it is dead, I'm going to buy another one

That doesn't sound good Gary but it does sound typical of BMW garages, you need to ask them for more detail.

Now that we are back the pictures are coming in but as we all rook much the same photos, I do not have much to add except but this one of a Marmot at the top of the grimsel pass. He was too far away for a phone camera. not car related but interesting.
