.Net is saved, is this the end for .Org?

The next few months should be interesting....

I first came across .net whilst seeking information on Zeds, and purchased my car from one of the regulars.

I voted with my feet when .org started as I have/had little sympathy for the .net site owners poor response to requests for answers as to what was happening. Particularly as much of the information was 'donated' by forum members.

.nets strongest feature is that it's membership is comfortable with it. A bit like changing Marks and Spencers image, very hard to do without alienating customers.

This site is fresh, new and is quickly establishing a good identity... :steer2)

I have come across a few of zedonists posts, both on .net and .org. Let’s just say this is a fellow that likes to shake things up and possibly has a little too much time on his hands.

This is a message to zedonist:

Bear in mind, .net and .org are light hearted forums for fun loving Zroadster owners. Every time I've seen your name in a thread it has been very inflammatory and a bit pessimistic. Cheer up big guy :D

Well i wont be going any where. I am happy here :)

i`m staying put,
But if i have a fickle moment :D and the other side have a more varied :baa selection just send Swamper round to give me a slap b-(
:ymalien:

fick·le   /ˈfɪkəl/ Show Spelled[fik-uhl] Show IPA
adjective
1. likely to change, especially due to caprice, irresolution, or instability; casually changeable: fickle weather.
2. not constant or loyal in affections: a fickle lover.

Just to make sure everyone knows what fickle means -- :-B

I like the net forum and i like the org forum but which is best ? Only oneway to find out ......FIGHT
Sorry couldn't resist

As has been said, there is plenty of room for both .org, .net and all the rest.

I am pleased that .net has not gone legs up for the sake of everyone who makes use of it.

This in no way diminishes my respect for the effort that the Admin Team of .org have lavished on this new and very successful site in such a short space of time. ^:)^

I shall continue to visit both sites, as I am sure others will also.

'If you can't say anything positive it is usually best to say nowt.'

I am pleased that .net has found a mutually acceptable solution to the site's former problems and that the accumulation of years of knowledge is to be preserved.
I don't see any reason for disharmony between .net and .org (other than friendly banter) :ymdevil:

Inevitably some people will stay here, some will stay there, others will flit between the two.
I don't have problem with that, and I hope no-one else does either.
There is a place and room for both websites which I hope will continue :-bd that's a thumb up for each one

You can't get enough of a good thing so the more sites the merrier :beer

The fact both sites feel different is part of the appeal. Will be interesting to see how both develop over the next 12 months but either way both will have my full support.

I have my favourite shop
but I often shop in others :)
James and Gary have worked hard
they deserve a bit of loyalty
As will the boys on .net

.org gets my vote, it feels a bit miserable on .net when i flash through. but 95% of the time i am on here/:)

Lighten up Pete :D, I imagine you are the easily offended type if you think my posts are inflammatory, would you prefer it if blew smoke up everyones back passage, rather than have my own opinion (enough of that on .net), Stalin is no longer with us buddy. I would not recommend you watch Mrs Browns Boys on BBC1, you will go white.........

Point conceded to you, i am a mover and a shaker, loved dancing in the olden days :p

Question for you though, what is too much time, and why should you not have it?

Another question, as .net & .org are elitist organisations and only for fun loving Zroadster owners, where do the :baa enthusiasts go? also what constitutes fun, telling jokes, having :baa ?....................ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh please do tell this is a :baa site isn't it? and i thought it was about the cars. I am very optimistic now. :baa.... :x

I go on hunting trips to the other side, how ever i prefer to remain with people i now look upon as friends so staying here. :D :D :D

Errr...... You are a very odd fellow indeed. My attitude is a bit more simplistic (maybe a bit too simplistic for a chap with your complications).

I like Z3's :-bd

I like org and net and I've been on some other sites I like \:D/ :ymsmug: :-s :-s

Ok guys I think the point of the thread has been answered so lets get back to having fun and try and direct some of that enthusiasm towards more exciting stuff like ideas in improving this site and a harmonious relationship. :ymhug:

More than happy with zorg, Brilliant site :-bd but now that .net (hopefully) has got a chance to progress with people who still have a passion for our little cars, I dont have any problem using both sites (I have not posted on .net since Tim Cullins statement), but this is my home and I am here to stay.

Keep up the terrific work thats been done to continualy move zorg forward.
