Hello from Troon (25 miles south of Glasgow, for the southerners among you). I picked up my Z3 on Wedneday and drove it 220 miles home. After a succession of MGBs and Midgets, with a Lotus Elan in the middle, the Z3 feels so civilised. It's quiet and comfortable with the top up, and sounds fab with the top down. That 6 cylinder engine is a jewel.
Mine is a 2002 roadster in Estoril Blue Metallic with the 2.2 litre engine and air con. It has the 17" wheels and has recently had a new top and all new brakes. Total mileage is 77,000 from two owners. I'm sure I'll find one or two things that need sorting (including the rain getting in as per my previous thread) but I can see there is plenty of advice available here. I like to do my own repairs so will be trying to gather a workshop manual from somewhere.
As for me, I am a retired hospital scientist and have rebuilt completely from wrecks, two Midgets, an Elan Sprint and my current MGB GTV8 conversion. I am currently working on a Triumph Dolomite which I was given.
Here's a photo of the Zed.

From sunny Devon, I rebuilt a 73 MGB roadster and a 74 Mercedes 350SL in my youth which is where I got my love of roadsters
