Guys,

My Z was almost squashed by a large gum tree. A day ago cyclone Cook went straight over our town. In some places in our town it looked like nothing happened, but in our street it was carnage. One big gum tree decided to land on our garage, where my Z was happily parked. The tree went straight through the roof, but luckily on the other side of the garage where I was parked.

Normally my sons oldschool Simca was parked in that place, but because his oldschool KE70 was stolen the other week, it was parked outside. The guest of our BandB where less fortunate. A branch of a tree fell on the front of their rental car and smashed the window and roof. They had to find another car on a Public Holiday.

There must be an angel protecting my Zed :)

A tsunamie of trees on my driveway. besides the Gum tree, two pine trees also came down.

Bloody hell! Main thing is nobody was hurt. Metal can be replaced.

Must terrible to have your home wrecked luckily your Zed was OK.

Glad that you , the family and the Z survived all of that mate. We were very lucky last year with the Hurricane in Florida last year.

Tony.

Thats not good mate luckily the zed survived just missing that yoyo

Glad you ar all OK, hope you get everything fixed up ASAP.

I read about this a few days ago. Sad that one person was killed but fortunately few casualties.
Sounds like you have some cleaning up to do but you car escaped damage. Hope things get back to normal soon.

My goodness :p
Be careful ;)

Pleased to hear you're ok. Bit of local damage around you though:whistle:

I have been clearing up the place for two days now. The guys who cleared the road where so friendly to pick up the 60 cm diameter logs from my garage roof with their digger with an hydraulic arm on it, I wouldn't know how to get that of the roof. We have a good insurance (we think) but it start already with $750 access. Our road side garden is full of debri, I hope the council will clean this up, it were their trees. I just had planted a lot of NZ native trees on that piece of land.

Well, at least I have for two seasons firewood (all from the roof).
