Too close for comfort!
Sounds like its time to check all the insurance policies and excess on policy.Sat watching tv last night and Jue noticed an orange glow through one of the rear windows. Before I'd even got a chance to see for myself she shouts "there's a fireman trying to get through our back gate"!.
I ran up and unlocked the gate to find a full fire tender and crew dousing next doors back garden right next to my garage!!!
As it was pitch black it was hard to tell exactly what had happened but on inspection this morning all became clear. My wonderful neighbour had been burning a plastic of some kind in a drum which had got so hot it had started to spit and run across his garden. In the process he has destroyed his gas BBQ and brand new wooden garden furniture set. The gas bottle from the BBQ had been submerged in a container of cold water(well done!)
The only thing between the fire and my garage is a wooden fence panel which is all of 6 inches away. That is badly charred but hasn't caught fire.
My zed resides in the garage and I think another two minutes and i'd have lost it.
It would have been murder!!!!!![]()
I reckon another 2 minutes and it would have mate.Fooking hell mate Thank god the fire didn't get Reggie
I would like to hope he's learnt his lesson but your probably right and he probably hasn'tSounds like its time to check all the insurance policies and excess on policy.

Good point!!Bloody hell Grumps! That was too close for comfort.
You might need to have a word about what your neighbours plans are for November 5th!
Nope! Can we come to yours for bonfire night mate?. It could be a cracker.
At this side of the river, over here in backwoods Banjo country, we don't have this type of thing going on. I could recommend a lovely 3 bedroomed bungalow with a nice garage and overlooking a tranquil fishing lake, where people of like minded roadster owners like to visit to pass the time of day now and again.
Tony.

No good mate, not webbed. Like the south of the county
