I share your weakness,
I have had many bmws,z3m,m3,m3gt,alpina b3 and on and on all have been quick cars also driven modern porsches 996 turbo 997 turbo but all feel tame compared to my 930 they can match its 0-60 top out at the same and some more but the feel of old school power with no traction is like nothing else. I brought my turbo from the daughter of keith duckworth (who designed the cosworth engine)it was his personel car until he died. It had been owned by them for 14 years had full service history and had covered 78000 miles body work had a few issues so that is where the story began. Over the next 18 months i just could not stop myself ,i had new quarters new wings and later body kit fitted (for my sins some may think) full respray, techart wheels.

elephant racing full suspension set up inc adjustable spring plates and quick change torsion bars, patrick Motorsport light weight flywheel and uprated clutch wevo quick shift psj joint and gear knob , wevo semi solid engine and gearbox mounts then gearbox rebuild. Engine was then treated to full rebuild stronger bolts ext, new performance camshaft, full fabspeed exhaust powerhaus heads with matched manifold and 36mm injector blocks,k27hfs turbo and new air filter assembly full width intercooler

tial wastegate forge blow of valve and more i cant even remember all of this producing in excess of 450bhp finally had trim done in two tone keeping original leather on outside with new inserts

and the end product is a car that keeps you on your toes scares you at least once every time you drive it and makes my z3ms feel slow. Not that they are its just that old school feel that takes your breath away , you just don't get that with more modern cars no matter how fast

Very nice :)
My opinion is that these oldskool Porsche's should only exist with a "picknick table" rear.
When you see them without wing, or with the later electronic wing...just not the same.
