One last job before i take the car out for a well deserved run after its 2 month lay off.
Time for the roof to have a bit of a re fresh.
Took delivery of some roof dye today so car masked up ready to have a go tomorrow
Then i can take it out for some well deserved R & R

Early start before the sun gets two intense. Finished masking the car off, learned my lesson when i did the Z3 ( If you've forgotten @Sean d how to mask up, don't look at this) but it did the job. Ordered the Dye off V-Fix (500ml) as used before. Instructions state 2 to 4 coats depending on wear, just as well covered with 1 coat as i ran out of Dye finishing the first coat.
Removed all the masking with just a few bits of dye on the paintwork, soon off with a wipe of polish. Drying nicely just got to keep it dry for 24 hours and keep those pesky birds from using it as target practice, then hopefully take it out for a run tomorrow.
Was easy to do and would imagine the second coat would use less product. Well worth the effort to freshen up the roof although it wasn't too bad anyway altogether cost £14, but would recommend getting 2 bottles.
Just a spray with Scotchguard when its dry to help seal in the colour

Very sharp Paul, looks great mate.

Looking at my winter list of things to do.
As the car approaches 109k was looking to do the water pump, purely as a safe guard. Today whilst looking through the handbook and the wads of paperwork i got with the car i found a receipt for supply and fit water pump at 93 k just before i got the car. Result without yielding a spanner. So in true petrol head tradition ear marked the saving on sending off the Steering wheel for the Royal treatment.
