Welcome Tony!

Lovely colour is Oxford Green, polishes up lovely and she certainly looks in great condition. Quite a few members near you, so you should be able to bump in to some very nice zed owners in your area ;)

Cheers, Gary

Thanks Gary,it'll be easy to remember you as our son is called Gary too. I do see quite a few Z's regularly on my way to and from work ,it's about 13 miles from home into town mostly around the A57 and A46 roundabout junction.

Welcome to the forum, Tony. Love the car and the color. I have the same color but a 1.9 '96. Great bunch of guys here and a tremendous wealth of information to be had by them. I've tapped into this pool of info on several occasions. Just posted a thread about getting a hard top. I know all the boys will give me good advice. Frankie (from the other side of the pond.)

Hey thank you Frankie I caught sight of you earlier when reading some stuff on here. I see that you are a dealer in the casinos, that must be an interesting job I bet (pardon the pun). We have a villa in Kissimmee.Fla. so we come stateside at least twice a year and I see several Z3's around the Orlando area,I would love to have mine over there even if the steering wheel was on the wrong side! If you ever fancy renting a villa for vacation down there let me know. Anyways Happy New Year to you and yours and bye for now,Tony.

I've been in Kissimmee on several occasions when going to Disney. Too expensive to stay in the park so I stayed in Kissimmee. There are certainly more z's in Florida that around here. I almost moved to Florida when they were opening casinos there. Thought it would be good to get a job there before I retired. Dealing is like any other job. You can get tired of it at times. There are some things that keep you interested though. The other day I was on a high limit game and waited for the player to show up which he didn't do until my shift was over. There was 2 mill. in the rack and he had a 75k limit per bet. Would have been an interesting game. There have been times where you are dealing to very famous people, esp. sports figures. Since I don't really follow sports that much, I often don't recognize them, and say something really stupid like: "So what kind of work do you do?" When everyone else on the table laughs like crazy, I know they must be famous and known to everyone but me. I did this once to a baseball player who was a catcher for the team that had just won the World Series. One of the other players at the table had the notion that I didn't know who I was dealing to and asked me if I knew Gary Carter. I though he was going to ask for a comp for dinner or something and was looking for a supervisor he knew. I didn't know the name and asked "Does he work on swing shift?". So everyone went crazy laughing and it wasn't until the supervisor in the next section of the pit came over to me and asked me to get his autograph. So there were people asking him for his autograph and I'm asking him "what do you do for a living?"

Hi Tony :welcome: from me too, great looking Zed you have there. You've found a great forum, if you have any questions just ask, everybody is really helpful. Keep a lookout for meetings and cruises, it's a great way to spend time with fellow Zed enthusiasts:D

Well I'm in the middle with mine at £280 for my tractor. That's why I went for a 55 plate with 76k because if I had gone as new 06 I would be paying the same as Mick. Which really is a crock of s**t because the later V6 diesels are cleaner, I'm assuming yours is V6 Mick?

My father has a 2003 tdi 5.0 v10....great engine....but some air suspension issues for the moment. Resulting in the fact he sometimes can put it in gear...stuck in P until fault clears. Been in the garage for weeks now :(
