CAUTION My other passion, Falconry

Marra as he is known, all his rings carry that name, I once puchased a Peregrine / Saker from him, top guy that knows his stuff,
Again you know your stuff as well Sean, calls me and everybody else marra.
Marra Falcons as he is known.Good guy ,no heirs and graces despite his wealth which I find really refreshing.doesnt have to pretend to anybody!!

This little fella came to me as a wild rehab job, my god we had some fun, he is a male sparrowhawk, known in the game as a musket, we call them pocket rockets, he was a downy when he came as he had been stolen from a nest, so I had to rear him without imprinting him on humans, good job I'm also a taxidermist as this ability came in very handy for the job, once he was trained to hunt he was set free at wild hack and stayed in contact with me for over six months,

This is another rehab bird that I released back to the wild, she was brought to me as a youngster and trained to hunt before she was put at hack, took about 3 months before she stopped coming for food, this is her very first kill, she was hovering over the garden and stooped to where I keep chickens, I ran down and she had nailed a young rat, I was over the moon that all the training had come together.

@Sean d I hope you don't mind me sharing a few pics of my dog Fred, a council estate special, =)) , lurcher and the best £50 I ever spent. I'm not a hunter and I've never been into field sports other than air rifle shooting.

He's 10yrs old now and nowhere as near as fast as he used to be but he used to catch rabbits for fun when he was younger. He's still in great condition though, no fat on him at all.
