The e30 is on my list , if it will be a 2nd BMW in the stock, but it's already a collectible! So it will not be cheap! I think is a great car to own!

I'm on the look out for a work horse daily driver although decided now to hold out till autumn and run the Zed till then. It will either be a 323/325/328 or 523/325/528. If I can land lucky a 330/530.

I really want an E30, and I almost replaced the Z3 with it - before I chose the Z4 instead. I do want another E39 5 series at some stage, loved my old 525D - the perfect commuter car.

At the moment having the Z3 & Z4 is more than enough for me!

My first Bmw was an E30 Coupe in white it was an '86 the chrome bumper version paid £500 for it ! It had just had a respray too ! I added a few bits to it eventually swapped it back in to an Escort convertible as the a friend was buying new and the px value on the bm was better.
Worth some money now in fact both are oh for the gift of hind sight :banghead:

I would class myself as a car enthusiast, but I think I have accidently become a BMW enthusiast as well. I have had in chronological order:
E30 325i SE saloon in zinebar red.
E32 735i SE in dolphin grey
E46 328Ci Sport with factory aero kit in Topaz Blue
and now my Z3 of course.
...possibly soon to be another Z3, watch this space!

Have to agree on the e39. 525d mine was a 51 plated and after being towed off motorways three times in first 10000 miles before sort out the pressure system it ran great ,until I parted company at 2 years old with 135000 miles on clock. Last time I saw it was on 250000 miles and only bits changed were clutch (four times) and all the injectors . It also always like bulbs all sorts. I have been tempted a couple of times looking at Alpine models.

But for absolute perfection that was replaced by a 330d that did 132000 in two years and the only bit replaced except service items was a air con belt, but never felt as nice as the e39

I had an E30 325i for 22 years and only reluctantly sold it recently as it needed some cosmetic attention which I was too busy to give it. I now have a 325Ti compact as a daily workhorse and the zed for fun. The 325 compact compliments the zed well sharing (almost) the same M54 engine and transmission and adds a bit of fun everyday driving.

seems the bmw bug gets us lol, I have had quite a few bmw motorbikes, I like how they are built, and can cover huge distance without problems, my first bmw car was a z3, always liked the look of them, and an impulse purchase got me a green 1.9,with the m43 engine, but did a stupid thing and sold it, to buy an earlier z3,a 2.8 which is what i have now, i now find myself looking at the e30, i think they look good to
