You. Are spot on regarding the bush in the middle... just identified it yesterday... any idea how much parts and labour should be?

Will check spot welds and update pics...

With cooling system will address at the first sign of overheating
Think I paid around £20 for a poly bush off ebay. Quite an easy job to do as long as you've got a trolley jack. Only 30 minutes labour for a garage to do it so maybe £50 ish.
Check the fins on your cooling fan as they have a habit of snapping off without warning.

Love the colour of your car what is it called?
It's a special colour from the 'Individual range. It's called Aegean Blue. You won't see many about:thumbsup:

I love that Yellow... i though only available on the Z3M
Thanks.
Dakar yellow is an 'm' colour but bmw produced a number of sport models also in Dakar.
My zed is an customer specced individual model so whoever ordered the car new chose the spec ( colour/ trim engine etc ).
So Dakar yellow is quite a rare zed colour but also a few other colours that are quite rare also

The car doesn't overheat so I will hold on cooling.. and the car starts ok so will hold on the oil and plugs... the car clearly was parked up for sometime and a fair bit of rust but a local mechanic said there is a special chemical for underbelly for rust... will keep you posted...
"Aquasteel" is a rust converter that you can use on the rusted parts.

Hello and welcome from Truro. Good luck with the project.
My car is currently laid up waiting for me to get my arse into gear to change the head gasket.
That head gasket job might be easier and quicker if you you used your hands!.....

What Ho Jackers! I had the same problem a while back, so I went to see the M.O. chappie. Said too much Port was muddling the old grey matter, so I cut down a bit on that . Seemed to do the trick for a while, but I got a taste for some old Brandy that the Club keep, so I'll have to see how it goes. Long as the memsahib doesn't find out I should be okay..... Purely medicinal don't cha know!

Toodely Pip,

Bonzo
