I'm getting Z3 withdrawal symptoms up here in Swansea while I look after my other half following her ankle op for 2 weeks.

Normally I spend half the week in Swindon too which is where all the Z3 action happens.

Anyway, there's been a little green Fiji Green 1.9 in the breakers yard here for about 6 months awaiting its fate. I wave every time I go past.

It looked to be in good condition pre-accident and with panel damage only.

When my brother bought his Boston Green from new (which he still has) in 1999 he had the choice of that one or a Fiji Green. I still think he picked the wrong one

I know 1.9s are not good news as resto projects as they cost the same money as a bigger engine car without the value at the end.

But I've got quite attached to it. I might, just might drop them an email and see what they are doing with it!

I noticed the Mini had foliage growing inside of the missing/broken lamp cluster on the right side!

Looking at the picture again I think it may be a holding yard for insurance companies. They will sit there until the claim is settled then be crushed or auctioned off. We have one not far from us. Set up looks the same.

It is at a breakers but at a different site to the main one where the cars are actually dismantled. But doesn't mean they don't also perform that role I guess.

It seems to me it's not the first time I saw a car like that in the scrap yard. The one I saw, however, differed only in one small detail:

Ooh. Peer pressure. That's kinda difficult to deal with and ignore.

I hope some b*gger on here is going to rehome all these projects when they've been rehabilitated Available for a reasonable consideration to cover hay and water during stabling

I might also need someone to start another branch of Second Life Zeds as space is getting very short

And someone to lend me a few quid. The kitty is very empty at the moment despite these projects generally costing me no more than a few hundred quid each to acquire!
