I love the railway, been there for 25 years now!
In my early days of wokring, so many jobs, loved it, never out of work, great life experience gained.
I worked for the railway southern rail, ended up rlfrailman/shunter interesting job
A driver let me drive a train once, from the sidings to platform great experience, i dare say he could have be sacked for it
it was electric not steam, I'm not that old
I look back could have been a great career, destined for great heights then,

Chuffed about driving it!
