Looking at putting some mudflaps on my car. Do the universal ones fit OK?
If not anyone have a link for a supplier?

I have genuine ones - they fit like a glove but are uber rare to find.

Water and road silt will find its way behind them and cause sill ends and innersills to corrode over time best avoided is the majority view.

I love the look of them by my car is already to low.

I also question the rust and corrosion issue. All of my rust started where the paint was chipped off from stones at the forward edge of the sills. If they were covered at least they would be protected. Just a thought.

Mine had the front flaps from new from the factory - the inner sills are pretty much perfect. The outer sills were doilies on the edges after 20+ years but then that seems to happen to all of them - flaps or not.

Someone was making them again. Might be worth checking the Facebook forums, Z3 Filth page may have them

I don’t see the problem if you remove your outer sills once a year after winter to clear the crud out reapply your choice of anti corrosion.

Agree the sills need a cover.
