Some Dutch are very happy with the Moyes story as it takes the edge off last Sunday.
I was home late after being taken out for a meal, put the TV on and had to do a double take......
Zwolle thrash Ajax to win KNVB (FA) Cup.
PEC Zwolle stunned Ajax in the KNVB Beker final by producing a scintillating performance to win their first major trophy with a 5-1 success.
The game was halted shortly after kick-off as the field was engulfed by flares.
The match was soon stopped for a second time due to objects being hurled onto the pitch, leading Ajax director Edwin van der Sar to plead with the club's fans to "stop this s***" unquote.
Victory also marked Zwolle's first success over Ajax since 1988.

Having read that Louis van Gaal is of interest to replace Moyes, I think the Dutch had better get Louis backside over to Ajax ASAP........

As for reports on Moyes, these made me laugh.
Writer Toby Young joked: ‘Maybe David Moyes can get a job with Ukip. He’s proved himself very good at staying out of Europe.’
And broadcaster Jeremy Vine added: ‘Please Manchester United, in the name of good sense and decency, do not sack David Moyes.
Signed fans of Chelsea, ManCity and Liverpool.’

Ajax and fireworks.....at their own players........

Just like he played at being Man Utd manager. 51 weeks - 51 different teams????

Blimey, I've worked in Zwolle, it's not that bigger place, and they thrash Ajax ??

Having been a life long supporter of Man U, it disappoints me that this `Club' has succumbed to the short term business plan adopted by just about every other owner in the football world.
Would anybody else have done better than Moyes and who will succeed him? Even the Special One would have struggled. We are talking 26 years of the same man, achieving the same success, season after season.
Man U wasn't built in a day! The football world is an impatient place.

I agree, from the players perspective they have in deed performed and succeeded at the very top, how do you motivate people that have been there and done that, that is the challenge for MU, and it does not happen in twelve months

The thing I'm finding very difficult to get my head round is why could he not start at least by using the team which won the league previously? Then start to change things around. Would that be classed as "copying" ?

Looking at it from another angle. It was very unfair of SAF to announce his retirement with what might be considered at very short notice. There needed to be a transitionary period to allow the new man to feel his way in with some of the old staff still in place.
I think the club was left high and dry with David Gill going out at the same time.

im not a man u fan by any means. and as for moyes I think people should cut him some slack at least he had the b***s to take the job, he was filling a very large pair of shoes.

Hmmmmm

Ryan Giggs

Or

Tim Sherwood

Who's got the better chance?!?!?

Louis van Gaal is set to become the next manager of Manchester United after agreeing terms with the club, according to the Dutch press.
According to Dutch paper De Telegraaf, which has close links to Van Gaal's camp, former Holland striker Patrick Kluivert will be installed as No 2.
