Well did you rescue anybody? The way you were sounding I thought it was you that needed rescuing @miller1098 . The next time you go out give your equipment a thorough check over first for defects and I think an easier PATH is required as the one used by everyone else seems a bit too challenging.

Joking aside Cadair Idris is one of the most beautiful mountains around here there are a couple of routes up it our tribe like to take the southern accent and descend on the north face,I usually drop them off and drive 7 miles around and meet them at the summit ,if ever you get the chance take it it's spectacular
