Description
Car Friday is generally known as the unofficial season opener for the tourist drives at the Nürburgring, so every year there are thousands of spectators visiting the track to attend the tourist drives either as a spectator or driver. The enormous number of cars on track often leads to dangerous situations or to crashes like this one... Be careful on the Nordschleife...

 
Bad luck for Plato but nice to see Andy Priaux do well again.

It's time F1 went back to this type of qualifying, all out on track together, just like it used to be.

A Black Falcon Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 driver looses wheel and tries to fix it on the track. This happened during the 2015 Nürburgring 24h race at Kesselchen. Eventually he is towed away to Steilstrecke where spectators and marshals try help reattaching the wheel.

Ein Black Falcon Mercedes SLS verliert im Bereich Kesselchen das hintere linke Rad und versucht es händisch wieder anzubringen. Nachdem er damit scheitert wird er von den Marshals zur nächsten Bucht gezogen (Steilstrecke). Dort versuchen Zuschauer den Schaden zu beheben.

The motorsport World comes to a standstill once again. Justin Wilson was a great person and racing driver. I raced with Justin as far back as 1989 in Karting and remember his smile was infectious, such a lovely guy. My thoughts are with his family. ‪#‎RIPJustin‬

That's awful ,I was just watching and old YouTube video of group B rallying ,and I remember standing on the side of the road when we used to follow the RAC spectacular but an accident waiting to happen.3 were killed watching the Jim Clark last year in Scotland .
 
It's nothing short of a miracle that more people don't get killed on those events. I watched a program on TV about the end of the super fast cars which claimed the lives a good few drivers and co-drivers and some spectators said that they gathered on these fast corners and set up a "party" complete with loads of booze. Not a good combination really.:(

Toivenen and his co-driver were burnt to death in their Lancia They were basically sitting on top of the fuel tank, when rescuers got there they were burnt to bone, nothing left.

Missed that on the News, absolute shocker! Very sad for all involved.:(
