Model of Z
Z4 coupe sport.
Z coupe e86 sailed through with no advisories at 0915. First one with me as new owner and to say I was nervous is a understatement. Had to stop and park up as the run flat tyre warning light came on about a mile
before the garage, low pressure in front n/s down .3kg which I put down to tyre fitter on Monday deflating then inflating to wrong pressure. Phew!!!!!! and on the way to test, enough to make a grown man cry.

Never a good time for that light to come on Roy. First time it happened on my Z4 was when I was on my way to Grantham Hospital for my MRI scan.

CONGRATULATIONS!

It is nerve-racking, going to the MOT station. Well done you!!! It's not the 7th though...how come you took Blue Beamer earlier?

And what was the diagnosis? Car-wise, obviously - it's a public forum...

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Air leak round valve stem.

Congrats Roy, another 12 months of smiles. Never in any doubt in my mind she would pass;)

Well next time you can take her.=))

For those interested the MOT station has been doing our family transport MOTs for some 22yrs and they also specialise in tyres so got that tyre looked at for free, no puncture or leak, on Monday went to a gator specialist to get gator on that wheel repaired, they have to deflate the tyre to do it so we’re putting it down to very slightly under what sets the sensor off. Never asked me what pressure I run on that tyre and guessed it no doubt. Just the few miles I drove was enough to trigger it. Been out in it and checked pressure at 2.30pm and it’s spot on. Only time will tell now if it looses pressure.

Roy:)

Hi Dawn, only nervous cos it’s the first one for me with the coupe, as the years go by it gets easier cos you get to know the car better, my old Z sailed through for something like 11yrs with no advisories it was only the first couple where it was pulled for minor faults.
Not sure about when you can take your car in early to preserve the MOT date but have retained the date of the 7th April for next year, believe it could be as much as a month, Tony will put me right no doubt.

Roy.;)

Always glad to hear a clean MOT

Nice, that's what we like to here Roy boy

I think the new MOT means that you can present a vehicle up to one month in advance of the MOT expiry date and the vehicle will retain its original MOT date.

Thanks Dave, always cheers me up when your on here, hopefully your feeling a bit better. :)

30 days before expiry.

Tony.

Mmmm I usually call ahead, make sure the garage courtesy car (shed) is available- I drop the Z3 off, drive away in the shed, expect a call saying it’s failed and it will cost £££ and will take a couple days. I return the shed, empty my wallet and get the Z back.

I later console myself by saying how much money I’ve saved by not leasing a a new car that doesn’t need an MOT. Then do forget about until the next year
