iQUOTE="Geophys, post: 351945, member: 5055"]Well my Zed sailed through its MOT this morning, no advisories just a straight pass. The guys at my local Indy BMW specialists said its the cleanest Z3 they get in to the shop and in 'spanking' condition.
When I took it over to my local BMW main dealer a while back to get a new key, four mechanics came out of the workshop to look at it as they had never had a Z3 in, this morning at my Indy, there was two Z4s and another Z3, which would you trust your Zed to?[/QUOTE]
Reminds me of when I got my first BMW a E28 528i Alpina many moons ago, I took it for a free health check at my local BMW Dealership (since changed Franchise twice over). After handing over the keys I sat around for nearly an hour waiting for some service. Owners of sparkling new cars got cups of tea/coffee etc, I had to go to reception in the end to request a coffee and feedback on what was going on. I thought I'd stepped on something in the carpark left by a dog and had it sticking to my shoe, the way I was treated.
Finally service guy came over with beaming smile to say car was ready to take and they had given it a clean. No problems at all,
"OH I said what about the electrical fault as the previous day I'd had to swop relays around as lights had developed a fault" "No definitely nothing wrong". Shook my head and left!! Only been back for the odd spare part, lads in that dep't were great.
Took it to my Indy later on who sorted it in 20mins, been with him ever since, over 20 years now. Looked after all my cars from the M635 onwards.
So I would go with a good recommended Indy every time.
