MOT PASS but with high emissions

I'm not panicking yet chaps..

Probably cold engine,so running rich ,the plugs are 18k in, so past their best and a 4 year old cat ..

Rich I always run it on super and use an injector cleaner every month or so..am confident with a few little investigations and the service after next done before dreaded MOT will see it pass easy...

I have a year!..

Hi, glad they let you work the wrinkles out before failing the car. First place is always air cleaner, next, as has been pointed out, vacuum leaks. Get a spray bottle and spray a bit of water on your lines wherever they connect or join others don't take much before you'll hear it in the engine idle. If the same no leak, changes that's the first place it's leaking. Hope that helps, JIM
