So today was MOT day given corona delay.

passed ok but with advisory for front brake pipes. Garage says will be ok for a few years given mileage, but leads me to the question of the braided brake lines .......does this really improve performance on standard brakes.
Is it worth it?

Hi Dave .
Good news on the mot .
As for the brake pipes it will more than likely be the metal brake lines that are starting to corrode the last inch or 2 before the join with the flexi hose inside the wheel arch.
Braided lines could make for a firmer pedal as less expansion of the rubber hoses under harder braking.
Depending on the level of corrosion changing to braided lines will probably require something to be done with the metal brake lines.
Stephen.

Thanks Steve,
Was quoted £80 for work so no great worry.....I’ll keep it standard then.

They would either be cutting the piece out creating a new end and adding a new piece of pipe or running a new piece of pipe to the abs pump.
