Returned from a lovely week away down in Cornwall at the weekend. My Z4 was away getting the ABS fault fixed but wasn’t ready until after we had left so collected it this morning. Needed two new callipers as both from bleed valves had snapped when they cam to bleed the system :(

Hastily booked MoT when I got it home - current one expires Friday. Got it in within two hours.:)

The downside is it failed :(

Only on headlamp alignment one side though. No other advisories. :)

So is that you mot'd for a year and abs fault done with.
All sorted. No lights on the dashboard.
The drive back was a joy with so much additional power and torque after driving Gail’s car for a week.
ABS fix is guaranteed for life which is way better than what BMW would offer on a brand new unit costing over 9x the cost!

Yeah you win some you lose some but shame about the calipers though.
A few weeks ago I came on here crowing about mine passing with no avisories, so then the cam sensors went!
Meanwhile a rear wheel bearing went on my daily driver an E91 touring. Spose it serves me right.

You’re right about cars and life in general. Best not provoke and poke the credit card gods...

The wag who MoT’d my car had the cheek to suggest the callipers might need changing soon. 15 miles they’d done...
