Mopeds and Motonostalgia corner

Hi @Ian jeffs, I’m afraid the time you were into biking the bikes were taking on a complete change from what we’ve been talking about, I personally only had a couple of bikes in the sixties and your Yamaha would have been like something from outer space lol, however we’ve all obviously got something in common if not the actual bikes, and that’s the something that sits inside us that remembers the motorbike as something really special in our lives be it years and years ago or maybe not so long. Same when you drive a BMW Z. Having said that you obviously still have or would have another bike, if so what older bike would YOU choose given the chance.

Roy.
I’ve never been into vintage bikes after my dad bought me a bsa bantam 175 when i was about 10 and many frustrating hours of trying to get the bugger running proper sort of cured me and a period of time with a villiers scrambler with the same result ,since then it’s mostly all dirt bikes the couple of times I’ve had a road bike have coencided with the most vivid near death experiences usually trying to get my knee near to the tar and I don’t have the skills to keep up with my ambition. But if I had a choice of bike just for fun I think it would be this

So great temptation for a model like this , but a little dangerous for a "young blood" like me!=))
The bike is so beautiful and the navy gray suits her perfectly!

Now that Rickman Metisse is proper bike porn.....
Beautiful things. First one I ever saw in the metal had dark green fibreglass and a nickel plated frame. Loved them ever since. I bet it's not cheap to build up one to that standard though....
