Missing piece on my intake manifold

Hi,
I removed my intake manifold to replace the gasket and inspect the water pipe beneath. Upon inspection of the manifold surface that meets the cylinder head intake, I noticed a piece that was missing:

It must have fallen out during removal and I have not been able to find it! (Yes, I checked the intake ports in the engine. )

Is this something that I'll be able to find a replacement for? Thanks in advance for any advice.

If the area inside it is perfectly smooth ( you should be able to feel inside with your finger) it’s not missing, that’s the way it was made?

Hi Tony,

If you look too the left of the one that's circled, it has a piece fitted into it. If I pull gently with some needlenose pliers, I can remove it, at which point it looks just like the one I have circled. Additionally, I've looked at pictures of other manifolds and the piece it there. That's why I'm pretty sure that it is missing. But maybe you're right.

I'll wait for others the weigh in this and if they confirm that it's supposed to be this way, I won't worry about it.

Thanks for looking!

If the others are removable then the chances are there is one missing. Where are you located please? You might have to buy a used manifold if that's the case.
Is that the area you were originally looking at, for a water leak? It's likely, if you can't find it, that the manifold has been off before now.

I'm in California. I thought that I might need to look for a used manifold but was hoping that maybe I could just get the piece. It was worth a try!
Thanks

Thanks for the tip Zephyr!
Unfortunately, I didn't see the part I needed in the breakdown. I guess I'm stuck looking for a used mani, unless by some miracle I'm able to find the piece that fell out. I've bookmarked that site as it looks like it will be a great resource.
Thanks again.

I thought it was number two in the diagram. They seem to be upside down...
