Looks like a pheasant to me, get a lot of 'em round here, there's a shoot not far away. Just about as stupid as a bird can get.

Years ago I was passing a farm entrance in my 3 and a half ton bread van when this chicken came running out of the yard hit the front bumper bounced onto the windscreen and then hit the top of the van box there was blood and feathers everywhere and I bet the car behind got a nasty surprise
