Hi all,

Many of you will have heard of Mike Fishwick through various internet forums and the BMWCCGB, as a font of knowledge on the Z3 and BMWs in general.

We are absolutely delighted that he has granted us permission to reproduce a series of his articles on the Zorg Wiki. Some are pictorial 'how to do' articles, and some are his personal musings on various items. I had a great time reading through them as I transferred the content over!

Here is the extensive list of what has been added today.

Mike's a very knowledgeable man
A great asset to any forum :coolsteer) :coolsteer)

Great addition to the wiki :-bd .

Hope you dont mind, just an idea, I can see this being a very popular section, before it gets too big, any chance of alphabetising with the 'part' name of the topic, or making it sectional, for those of us who need a bit more assistance ;) or shall i just run now :D

No need to run - I had the same thought as I was creating the articles. Need to find some way of categorising it better so they are easier to find!

Shame you cant have a search engine
dedicated to the knowledge base

  • BMW Z3 - Basic Suspension Modification

Glad i dont have to run ;)
A sugestion as above would be good, to clearly highlight the actual 'topic' of the thread. Even better, would be to alphabetise 'those' headings within the list.

I find it really frustrating when i cannot find things, .net used to drive me nuts, usually had to give up or hassle some poor member instead :D

Stop that right away x_x

Something that may help in the meantime. If you use the search at the top of the page on the home page then it should bring up everything related.

I tried engine oil and got the following: http://zroadster.org/?s=engine+oil

Boysie, you are too quick today, i re read that line and decided to alter, cos i knew you were around, but you beat me to it.

Fantastic news...... :-bd

What about categorising the Wiki like most car manuals, put it into sections with the relevant "wikis" in each, i.e. Bodywork, Engine, Brakes etc. that seems to be the natural thing to do to me..

I have had a first attempt at categorising the Z3 Wiki. I've gone relatively simplistic for now, with a sub-section each for:

- Guides and How To's
- Modifications
- General BMW Z3 Information
- Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul

We can look to make it more fine-grained later on as it grows. Let me know what you think ;)

x_x only kidding brilliant Gary :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Looking good Gary..... just a query though, I've looked before at the discussion and history tabs and never found anything on them, I can see the history tab now has version info for you... is the discussion tab redundant as most of the discussion is done on the thread before they get wiki'd? or is it for something else?
