Had an unexpected day off yesterday :).
So I thought sod it,sun was shining and the zed was sat under the outdoor cover all clean and ready to entertain .
Looked at the weather map,Wales was my first choice but rain was forecast for the west so we went east to Cleethorpes on A and B roads with Sara navigating :rally:.
Stopped off at Willingham woods for a cuppa on route where there were quite a few bikers parked up.
A few pics from the coast........

The sea was right out, seemed miles away.

Could hardly believe how warm it was for the time of year..........

Was nice to walk round without a jumper or coat on.
Had the obligatory fish and chips as we were at the coast, always seems to taste nicer :hungry:.
Came back home via @t-tony's part of the world where there were plumes of smoke near a little fishing lake .
Roof down all day of course, lovely day out.

Steve

Hope you got your passport stamped at Dunham Bridge mate.=))

Tony.

Didn't go that way Tony, couldn't afford the fee ;)=))

Steve
Were you serious regarding the smoke you saw as a friend just told me he saw a fire engine outside out house yesterday

Tony.

Like the photos Bozzy, but Cleethorpes beach - 'mud flat'! Still, a tazz out in the zed has got to be fun on a dry warm day.

You know me mate I was just winding you up,nothing untoward at yours Tony apart from a Luton van in your drive and two blokes seemingly loading it up =)).

Thanks Ken,not the most exotic destination I agree but some decent roads out that way.
Never thought could have given you a shout to see if you fancied a run out .

Steve

Glad to see your taking advantage of the good weather Steve as we all need to do before winter hits us hard.

Absolutely mate,we seem to be getting some fab autumn weather in recent years.
Yesterday was better than most of the summer days we had this year .

I'm looking forward to the Forest of Dean cruise and hopefully the colours of autumn

You git, on my doorstep, I would have knocked off work for the fish and chips, Willingham woods is about 5 miles from my house.

Cleethorpes very under estimated as a destination. Its clean has some fantastic eating houses and its on the coast.
OK not somewhere to spend the week, but as a day out great.
Some good roads avoiding the M180/A180, next year why not have a Zorg meet there?

Sorry Sean I didn't know you lived that close to Willingham .
I'll be sure to give you a shout next time we venture that way :).

Steve

The last time I went to Cleethorpes it was shut. We had a Sun holiday for £9.50 a day, ( who remembers them ? ) at a place called Reighley or Rashley or something like that.

I might try and put something together Paul, I have emailed Cadwell twice but had no response as it would be nice to get a couple of laps on there as part of a cruise.
