A few weeks ago I had the nearside front valance and wing of my zed repaired/resprayed as there was an earlier poor job done when I bought the car. My favourite body shop made a very good job too. This morning whilst moving it in the garage I scratched it in exactly the same place, front corner. Standard integral garages should really be described as small store rooms. The Z4 is not a big car , but is a real squeeze to get in.
I've gone through every swearword I can think of several times, maybe I'll get on tinternet to see if I can find any more. It hasn't helped and no one else to blame which is worse!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Gutted for you Ken. :(

Very sorry to hear that mate.:(:(:(

Tony.

What a bu**er.....really feel for you !!

I did it once to one of my 1300 Pan European fairings when I had it in bits doing a service....
.....took me weeks to get over it =))

That's a bummer Ken. One worry about having mine painted after scuffing my lovely wheels already

Oh Ken...I’m sorry to read this. Garages do tend to be a wee bit narrow. I feel your pain.

My first thought was 'just like Paul's wheel'. Just got them right then a simple mistake and kicking yourself.I suppose Jacquie was right though. It can be fixed !

Deep sympathy Ken, I know exactly how you feel
But I’m not telling anyone on here:ymdevil::ymdevil::whistle:

The worst thing is sometimes you know something is going to happen, and it still happens. So annoying but I bet we've all been there.

Tony.

Sorry to here this Ken. Know the feeling, couple of years back I decided to clear my narrow lockup out and asked my son to help, after clearing it out he grabbed the broom to give it a sweep but left a 100mm concrete building block in the corner and swept round it. I grabbed the broom and told him about doing things properly, moved the block out and forgot to move it back running into it spoiling the paint on the front of my old Z3. He promised never to mention it and thus far has kept his word. My Z4 coupe has a long scratch on near side mirror where I missed judged it so think the garage could be at fault being so narrow. =))....not really a laughing matter but it’s just human error something not comfortable to have to admit. Could be old age but couldn’t be certain although the wife says it is, but then she would wouldn’t she as she’s never dinged a car in her life. (That I know of):bored:

Roy.;)

Sorry to hear this news Ken, back to the paint shop for you. Then to B&Q to get some padding for the offending area of the garage;)

Padding not the answer @Mint, it was the outer edge of the door frame I caught. More care on my part needed!
Actually, because the garage is narrow, I have got polystyrene sheeting along the wall to stop the car doors getting chipped.

Unlucky Ken.

Feel your pain. I’ve done it myself :(

I'm moving house soon and the first thing I did on each viewing was to measure the garage to check the fit for the zed. I did find that integral garages were usually smaller than detached. Oh, my new house has a detached garage with plenty of space.
