Pretty much all that's happened around here this year, in no particular order. The central heating oil tank sprang a leak, had to have a new one and it had to be repositioned away from the house.

And the Severn Bridge painted, (well, it felt like it).

After painting the big shed I thought the addition of a length of guttering would be a good idea to stop the water run off splashing back up and rotting the bottom boards of the shed, so.

Pipes and fittings delivered tonight courtesy of Gary. Cost? Adjusting handbrake shoes on his Crafter and 1 brake pipe to replace (pipe made & work in progress).

13 new double glazed units replaced in front conservatory and house.

This is a mount for holding my "Dremmel" type tool, it frees up your hands.

Where the old oil tank lived is now our bin storage area so it needed a panel to hide them behind.

And, where the bins used to live, a new bench.

The remainder of the fence panel was used to fill the gap between the Shed and the fence.

Another little job was repairing the cord on someone's electric hedge trimmer from after approx. 15 minutes use from new, I won't name names but it begins with Andrew Elliott.;)

Finally, for now, we helped our local with the "Eat out to help out", one or twice.. Would've been rude not to eh?

Top work Tony

Phew! I’m shattered simply reading your diy of this year - and there’s 3 months to go! =))
Everything looks great Tony: well done. Did you design and make the new bench?

You have been busy Tony. I've been doing similar projects at my son's house were he has been getting a new imprinted concrete drive laid ahead of flying extension (upper storey extension on pillars over the drive) to my grandson's bedroom. Today been installing new fencing to finish off the end of the drive.
Earlier in the week at my daughters place helping my son-in-law with preparations for installing a large summer house (luckily the manufacturers delivered and installed it today so one less job) plus doing some finishing touches to new downstairs shower room and utility room (still more to do).
Being retired certainly keeps you busy, I don't know how I found time to work before retirement. Also the pays these days is C**P.

Couldn't agree more Pete, we are considering getting shut of the block paviours and having a printed concrete drive too. The guy who I bought my Z3 from at Penistone had the same and we were both impressed with it. I certainly would not have a block drive again, well, not on a drive as big as ours is. The Ants have ruined it and we cannot get shut of the little buggers.

Hi Dawn, no Shirl bought it from B&Q in Lincoln, but there hangs a long story. Robbing f***ers.

Oh ... what’s the B&Q story?!?

Well. when she went into the store there was a bench with a price reduced sticker etc. so she asked if they would keep it if she paid in full. They would not. Gary went to collect it and took it home, but, when he brought it over and took it out of his van it was the one from outside their store which had been faded by the sun, had a split board and screws missing, not the one from inside the store which was perfect. So, like I said, robbing F.....................

Tony.

That’s disgusting of B&Q! Perhaps an email to the CEO...

I have just been screwed by B&Q. I ordered new kitchen units and appliances in July and paid over 5k in full at the time of ordering. We were told there would be 2 months lead time but we had plenty of other stuff on the go so weren’t in any hurry. The delivery date was last Thursday 24th and the truck rolled up bang on time and the 2 lads carried it in and stacked it all neatly but when I came to sign up there was lots missing including a fridge freezer, dishwasher and combined oven/microwave. Where’s the rest I asked, so he checked and said that it was scheduled for 22nd October if it’s back in stock! I was not amused, there had been no prior notice and I was expecting a full delivery. The oven was part of a matching pair so what if it never arrived. To cut a long story short I rejected it, requested that they uplifted it and gave a full refund. To be fair they caved in straight away and sorted it, but if they had been upfront I could have saved them the hassle by refusing to accept a part delivery.

Wow you have been busy Tony :)
Looking very smart :)

All I can say is well done Shirl for keeping you busy and occupied Tony, stopped the boredom setting in at least

Well done Tony, thought I'd done a lot since the lockdown but seems you've pipped me JUST, but my list has no more jobs on it so maybe if the weather holds I'll get something done to the coupe. Mot on Tues so maybe they'll find something. Lol ( think not )

Love some of those gadgets you've fabricated.

Garnered most of my ideas from YouTube if I'm honest, but, modified and improved if I say so myself.

Tony.

Nice work Tony.
I can't even hoover the Z without a trim clip being claimed by Henry hoover just now. Next a bit of surgery on the dust bag and a rake around inside like James Herriot and so a 5 minute job takes double and a hoover bag. Meh

Rubber gloves and a mask Dave eh?

Tony.
