Hi there, was just after some thoughts. I'm planning to have my 2.8's inlet upgraded to the m50 along with a remap. Was just wondering from any of you who had it done, does it make a big difference? Does the car still run smooth after it?

Did it to my 2.8, I wouldn't bother if I'm honest. Made very little difference. Cost wise your looking at 200-300 for manifold plus parts then 400-500 for a remap. It free'd up top end in the rev range abit on mine but nothing worth shouting about

Ah okay thanks for that. Might just leave it and rather spend the money on some other bits for my car.

I would spend it on suspension , wheels, heated M seats etc ;) great upgrades

Yep was thinking maybe then start on suspension, maybe change all the front and rears to power flex ones and get a white line front top strut brace.

I replaced my shocks and fitted 30mm lowering springs to my 2.8. Made it feel like a new car! Handled brilliant

Ah cool I was thinking of doing that too, what size wheels do you have on? And did the lowering cause any rubbing?

I had 17" to start with then went on 18"x8 alloys with 20mm spacers on the rear. Had no problems with rubbing ;)

If your thinking of going for new wheels go for a staggered setup with 18"x8 fronts and 18"x9.5 rears ;)

Yep do like the staggered look, there's some real nice ones I'm actually interested in. I think they're called LM Mesh or something like that. The other option is to find some z3m rear wheels cause mine are the same as them just not the nice deep dishes like the m.
