Strange how I don't get anxious about any other vehicle mot, except for the zed.

Found a really good, reliable garage locally a few years ago. A proper genuine chap much like @t-tony.
Any way the phone call came later the same morning after dropping off the zed and Sara's Vauxhall.
Vauxhall passed with advisory on both rear springs, light corrosion... result :).
The zed has near side handbrake problems.
He said with the car raised off the ground, hand brake off, the wheel locks up when he tried to spin it by hand and may just be the spring has detached in the shoes, or the lining has detached.
Cant fit it in to fix it till Monday so left it with him.

Might be the lining come adrift Steve, or the hold down spring pin pulled through the back plate. If it is the hold down suggest using a small nut and screw with the original spring (that’s assuming he doesn’t know about this repair ;))

Thanks mate, I'll suggest that to him if it's the back plate .
Wish I'd realised before but there was no sign of a problem.

The other issue zeds suffer from is knackered handbrake cables, the outer sheath corrodes and the inner cable sticks. Hope it’s an easy fix for you.

To be honest unless it was showing a significant reading on the brake roller without the handbrake applied that should have been an advisory anyway.

Tony.

Pleased to say we just got Bob back from the garage, all done for another year :).
Just got to do an oil service when the weather's a bit nicer.
