I had the unfortunate experience today of driving around lunchtime and there was this sanctimonious presenter blathering on about drivers being caught over 100 mph. Not that I condone this but he was so over the top and must have mentioned BMW drivers in every sentence he uttered.
I usually miss his show and eventually changed channel. I was being a courteous BMW driver today as well.

An obvious BMW wannabe owner...........................Frankie

Thought it might be! That be Jeremy Vine then Brian. He doesn't like drivers full stop! He actually got done for speeding in a pedestrian area on his push bike a couple of years back!

Between 1 and 3
I can't stick the program on any day.

Same sloppy reporting on tv tonight complaining why do cars need to have such high top speeds. Slightly overlooked the fact that its the driver that does it, not the car. You regularly see fiat 500's tanking down the motorway completely oblivious of the consequences of blowout etc. Don't see them asking for those to be banned.

Usually tanking ( or so they think) sat in the middle lane oblivious to all else.

I've had them pass me and they must have been doing over 90. Pretty much on the edge I would have thought - foot buried in the carpet at least.

Vine is a sanctimonious idiot. The one thing that regularly spoils R2 in my opinion, even when he's off they have a female version in Vanessa Feltz, who's almost as bad.

Tony.

ps. On the subject of R2, someone ought to email Wrighty on a Friday afternoon and get a mention for the forum on "Serious Zorgin'"

Wrighty used to be good, but has disappeared up his own arse. Never known him to play a track without him talking over it or cutting it off.

I've listened to R2 for years, as a lorry driver it is your best mate with regards to the traffic reports.
Jeremy Vine is hard work at the best of times. Vanessa Feltz I cannot stand, she does a early morning breakfast show 5-6.30. At this point I put my ipod on! Steve Wright has changed massively over the last few years. @Eddie Zedder is bang on about him. I like the rest tho.

Yes - You have to pick your times to listen. For a small consideration I could get Planet Rock broadcast instead of R2 instead of those three mentioned earlier :ymdevil:

I would love to listen to Planet rock all day but isn't it only on DAB Ian?

It is - It was taken off Sutton Coldfield on 9th Sept Last. A sad day.

Even on DAB its currently only mono. It transfers multiplex in a few days and I thought they might transmit in stereo but that doesn't seem to be the case. :(

Sounds like it may not be about much longer then, my ipod is full of old school rock stuff like Maiden, Metallica, Dragon force etc. I get it all free on Spotify premium, talked my phone provider into a deal to keep my business so never short of a few tunes!

I leave early on a Monday to go to Manchester. Starts off with my Google Music "Favourites" playlist. Come 6.30 switch R2 on for Chris Evans.
