Had a lovely day today, a walk around Loughrigg Tarn after we eventually found it

) and then decided to head back home through Coniston but saw a sign for The Langdales. We took the turning and the views were fantastic. However, the road got narrower and narrower, too far to turn back now, so carried on to some stunning views. A scary road !!! On checking map when we got home, we had been over Wrynose Pass, ooooooooooooooh never again, but love the photos we got. Map packed in on my tablet, gps couldnt read where we were, so, i will take a backup next time

Hi Hardtop, something strange again, posting photos twice or not at all. The preview looks as it should but when i post, some missing and some added twice. :o(

Hiya, yes , uploading direct from laptop to thread. I didnt know ive been booted off photobucket, how do you know =))=))

Just amended photos, they look ok now. Just thought i would post these (apart from the tarn) as a few of you are heading over this road very soon, so have your cameras ready,

Gill, I've removed the Photobucket links from your signature for now. Basically they won't allow people to use IMG links any more unless you pay them a small fortune.

Great photos :p
Looks a lovely place :)

Great pictures Gill:thumbsup:
Bit frightening when you get lost when you live there:whistle:

It is a most wonderful area.
Here's a couple I did around the Lansdale Pikes, Loughrigg tarn and the Blea Tarn a few years ago. Makes special into something else.

Stunning isnt it, Brothers Water is my next outing, meeting the zeds up Kirkstone, driving with them, then peeling off to do the walk around there.
