as a biker I am always on the lookout for "rainbows on the road surface" from spilt diesel, but from the lower perspective in the Z I just can't see these things if indeed they are there...

have just bid on a set of 16" style 18 wheels with a full set of newish michelins on them fingers crossed.. a premium tyre should help as should the extra width of the 225 as opposed the 205 i'm currently running, as stated previously in the thread... and the less flex in the tyre wall with the bigger rims should help too...

TBH the suspension upgrade was on the cards too and I planned to refresh all the bushings with poly ones and swap out the ARBs per zedonist's advice for the stiffer ones from a 2.8 narrow body, and fit new coil springs, it may just all have to happen a bit sooner!..

they need a bit of work ,but 2-3 hours with some 600 wet and dry and some alloy paint and lacquer and they will look great!..

so that's stage one of the handling upgrades sorted, once your arb's go on koen I will spend some time with them and then go ahead and refresh all the bushings except for maybe subframe where I will go for the skunkworks inserts..

koen there is a guy in handsworth wood in birmingham breaking a Z3 2.8 at the mo...he has some wheels going ,style 18 17'' with decent tyres..btw he only does Z3 breaking so could be a useful recourse for us guys on here.

as you are coming in march maybe its worth while seeing if he has a few parts he can help you with?..i'd be up for a run down there..

cheers

I did send him a mail on 2 ads for rims in birmingham...so possibly the same person.
Shipment was the biggest worry.....but if you would see a rally possible...you got a lot of space in the car?

i have access to another car...

our trusty honda civic hatchback..with the seats down that will carry 4 wheels and a load of other bits no problems..

he has 3 sets to choose from so may be worth a punt..and I would like wing mirrors and he has some mtech pedals I like the sound of too...

so a rally def possible.
