Just thought I would post this about fixing the seats.
Read all about it in the forums before I started and the following is what I found on doing the job. The space; not a great deal of space to undo the back 16mm bolts my age played a part in this. Problem was the 16mm back bolts have a shoulder which prevents the socket from seating properly as well as the hole in the runner where the bolt sits being quite tight on the socket so it tends to slip off.
Plus gas helped but the only way to do it in the end was to hammer on a socket from an old non metric socket set which was just slightly tighter than the 16mm bolt This was successful to break the rust seal on the threads. Not exactly good engineering practice but needs must when the devil rides out
Other than that the job was as stated in the forum. just to add a 16mm would not fit on the back seat bolts don't know why.

Possibly none genuine bolts been fitted at some point.
We're you using 3/8 or 1/2 sockets? I always use 3/8 not had a problem.

Tony.

The socket I hammered on was a socket sought bought in 1961 before there was such a thing as foreign metric!!!!!!!!

Hmmm. Was that what my dear old used to call a “b*****d” size perchance?;)=))
