Dont forget to factor in the Thermostat. Also get that from Germany. They are the exact same parts as what they sell over here. Around £320 for both pump and thermo if purchased from Germany around £650 if purchased over here

This is the cheap one you get from ECPs its not even a Behr/Mahle one

Nearly double Sean, it's an electric pump not driven by the engine. One of the main ways they got some more HP out of the motor.

Best choice.
Just make sure water pump has been changed if not then get it done around the 70k mark. They are prone to going. I did mine as a precaution and purchased the parts off a German seller on Ebay for a fraction of the cost you would pay over here for the exact same parts think i got it for around £250

I second that advice, mine went in France near the Swiss border cost me £1000, 3weeks without the car and another flight to France and a long drive home to retrieve it, really get it changed.

Hi everyone, I picked up the 3.0si yesterday and so far I'm really happy with it, been a bit hectic but I'll chuck a picture up at some point soon. I suspect it'll spend a lot of the winter in the garage, first port of call is budgeting for water pump and thermostat replacement I reckon! Thanks for all the help and advice

Finally got some time to spend with the car today, still really pleased with my purchase, thanks again to everyone for your help and advice. Here's a quick snap, spent a few hours this afternoon cleaning the roof of mould spots and starting to treat the hairline scratches with some compound.
