Hi guys

I've said "Hello" on 'Introduce yourself' as a new member (without a Z) from Kent. I'm looking for a nice, late and low mileage 3.0 Sport and wonder if anyone has any leads? I looked at a 30k mile Auto yesterday at a dealer in Lancashire but it was silly money (IMHO) and the dealer didn't seem at all interested in talking sensibly about a sale. I'd really like to buy from an enthusiast and an happy to look at manual or auto. This is going to be a keeper so want to buy a good one.

All the best

Simon

@Simon67, @lightning had top one for sale too, if its a keeper you are looking for then this is a car to consider. You will notice that prices are all over the place but just bear in mind you will need to pay for a "good one".

Just been to look at this on Autotrader. 35K miles was attractive BUT had dents or scratches on most panels, needed disks all round, drivers seat was sagging and needed re-colouring and very sketchy history. I didn't drive it as it wasn't for me and the seller didn't inspire confidence!
PM me if anyone is thinking of traveling to Kent to look at it...

He has just this moment put the price up from £6,666 to £8,888!!!!!

With 35k miles only, £6,666 sounds pretty good even with the faults mentioned. The faults are all surmountable. Lack of history is a shame though.

If that was a manual and in nice condition, with those miles it's a £10k+ car.

Good grief! I advertised my near concours 2002 3.0 M Sport a couple of months ago for £8000 and it didn't sell.
lt's on 56,000 miles and has a hardtop plus a history file 4" thick.
Topaz Blue with White Lotus interior. I was told it was too dear at £8,000 with the hardtop.
No dents or stone chips on this baby. Front bumper and bonnet resprayed by BMW in 2014.
Over mats since new. Carpets look new. Won cups at car shows with it.

Worth £6500 with no hard top, dents and scratches on every panel, sagging seat, paint issues, patchy history and needing brakes?
Not a one owner car either! Says "one owner from ten years" Either prices have gone up or mine's under priced :)

It's not sold though and if you met the seller you would realise that it will never sell to a sane person! Lightning, is yours still for sale and can I give you a call? Cheers. Simon

Mine has 56,000 which is not a high mileage for a 15 year old car but very low mileage say under 20,000 can definitely increase the value.
As long as the condition reflects the low mileage.
Surprised the seat has sagged by 34,000 though, mine's still perfect. The previous owner must have had a big bum!
