I asked Gary if he would kindly send me some .org cards :p
So I send my envelopes off to him :)
I couldn't wait to receive them :)
But when the postman did call this is what I got back :(
I'll send another envelope off and hopefully I'll get them this time ( if it's ok with you Gary )

Sounds about right for the post office, I get mail for other people, my mail gets delivered any place they feel like leaving it too, often trashed, writing and complaining gets nowhere, first class rarely gets there any quicker than second. They need some competition (for letters) to buck their ideas up. Guess they thought it was full of credit cards!!

Oh dear...maybe it was another forum member desperate to get heir hands on them.....or more likely what @Synclare suggested.

My envelope was in a terrible state as you can see :p
If I complain I don't think it will get me anywhere :(

Oh that's frustrating! Bet they don't refund your stamp despite destroying the envelope. To think I out some tape to strengthen the glue on the flap, perhaps I should have wrapped the whole envelope :(

No .... No stamp refunded :(
I'll send you another one out if that's ok :)
Thanks Gary ( in advance) :)

Just got to love them eh, I received an invoice for € 2.50 for a letter I was supposed to have been sent that did not have enough stamps on it, I ignored it then they sent me another invoice, I ignored that to, so they gave up and I never heard from them again.
Must have cost them more than € 2.50 to go to all that trouble.....

I'm biased towards the post offic as our youngest daughter is a postie, she leaves the house every morning at 5.30 snow, rain, hail and this winter comes home usually wet and cold at 5.00 she only gets paid till 2.00,one of her deliveries is 20 mins up a narrow mountain road who's going to compete for that job,her route is over 100 miles a day,she is the only person some folks will see on that day,she takes her job seriously, I'm all for competition I like it,as long as we don't f##k it up like every ripped off industry in this country

Don't worry Shelly , it always could be worst: They sent to me, from Germany, an Isoft 910, the device never arrived to me!
Checking the tracking number I found it was delivered to the post in RO, but the post said they never receive it...! Who's to blame?
Probably somebody throw it away when he discovered isn't a mobile phone in the package:(, but a strange device....!:sour:
Useless for them, priceless for me.:(
Maybe many Zed owners will receive those cards on their windshield, one day!;)

Had to laugh a month or two back when they had sheet ice all over the roads up in the north east for about a week.
No post was delivered because it was to dangerous said health & safety.
Funny how the locale paper boys and girls still managed to do their rounds.......

I find the post around here hit and miss. Being semi rural in a village, if the normal postman is on holiday or sick, the idiots get all the post mixed up and I end up with mail for other places the stand in can not find. I have a laugh about it with our regular postman. One thing I will say, if you cheery pick the system you will destroy what is an amazing institution. Where else can you send a letter or small packet for a few pounds to an address right at the end of the UK. As @miller1098 has mentioned, I do not see a private company taking over some of the out reach areas. A warning with be, the premium you have to pay for the Isles of the UK and the reaches of Cornwall and now north of Glasgow and Edinburgh..

Support our Post before we loose it... it will be cheaper to begin with and then the profit will start to increase..

As for the letter @Shelly, you will probably find that the franking and post machine got it caught. The speed these machines go at is amazing...

This will show you..
