Looks good from the sideIMG_0784.webp

But still not sure how I feel about it?....
Should I be happy or sad???
Mixed emotions at the moment. ,!!!

Blimey! Where was It found mate? I take it there was damage then? Personally I wouldn't want it back Bri. It would feel like a violation to me and it would always play on my mind.

Looks great mate, only you know that it's had a rough few months, anyone else would think it's good as new, just enjoy a beautiful car.

I agree it depends whether you feel its in a way been violated and if you can live with it

Was found the next day Dave !
Damaged rear end getting it out of Drive,
Damaged front end on speed bumps down our road.
Didn't want it back but only light damage apparently so had
To be repaired:(
Really hoping to get it written off but despite complaints
It had to come back,
As I said earlier it does look mint but still a wiered feeling:wideyed:

Am sure most would agree that its going to come back with some negative feelings.
How was it stolen in the first place?
Did they get access to the keys?

If they hadn't damaged it I suspect it would be long gone.

Keeping it secure in future is going to be the challenge. Might be time to move it on :(

Well it certainly looks excellent Brian.
Personally I'd see how I felt about in a few months. You obviously like the car,so it'd be a shame to part with it. If you did change it,it's gonna cost you and you may still regret parting with it.
Just my thoughts mate.

They broke into his house when he was on the Cotswolds and nicked the keys Ian.

I remember now. Its not the car itself that's the problem. It's the link to the break-in, even if it was to get they car keys. I'd definitely want to change it as well as make things secure as possible around home. Alternatively, invite the scroat that did it to partake in some friendly and helpful 'discussions'....

I like the sound of the second half!

Thanks for the comments guys, it is two fold , the break in for the
Spare keys has left a nasty taste but we aren't moving house so
We have to get on with it.
It should be the same philosify with the car but it is easier to
Get rid of and buy again but that would cost me!
I do (did) maybe still love the car but as Bozzy said think give
It some time and hope it stays on the Drive this timel:banghead::banghead:

last friday night neighbour 6 doors along had his bmw broken into during the night & they took his steering wheel & dash, while they were a sleep in bed, did not use keys . funny thing though he's a police officer.

Glad it's back and looks great hopefully you can settle back into it and love it as you did

It will take some time to get back to normal driving of your car and forgetting about the incident - time heals - good luck!

I'd have it professionally valeted and detailed to within an inch of its life. It would be £200 well spent.

It would make me feel better about being in the same seat a scummer had sat in.

And would make a fresh start for the car.

Glad to hear you got it back Brian and that they didn't actually have it for long. I think I'd look at it in the same way as if somebody had crashed into you. It was pranged and now it's been repaired. It's the invasion of your home that is probably the most difficult to come to terms with, I certainly wouldn't like that. Perhaps you need to think about upgrading your security if there is a problem in the area.

Glad you got your beautiful car back :p
I'm sure in a few weeks you will feel different :)

It would cost a lot more than £200. I just had a 2 stage professional polish and that was 300 just for the body. If I wanted the whole car doing to within an inch of its life it would of been around 6 to 700
