Can't remember the last time I saw one??

Sorry to sound thick but what is it?

Doctor Who?

A bit of motoring history there. I remember watching the AA man arrive on his motor bike and sidecar and put a fresh gallon of petrol in the box which was right beside the bus stop I got to school.

I too can remember the AA patrolman on his bike with side "coffin" riding in a big leather coat (even in the hot weather) p*** pot helmet, goggles and gauntlets and he would even Salute to a bunch of kids by the side of the road.

Tony.

Go to see Synclaire at his weekend hideaway, first thing you will see!

Thanks Andy,an interesting read!
I still have an AA key but it is on my other set of keys,
It would have been interesting to see if opened the door?
Indeed, and what you may or may not have found in it. Nice to see some history being maintained. :)

Where abouts are you in Norfolk @brilie :p

Hi Shelly ,we are staying in Thornham close to Hunstanton,
In a lovely pub called The Lifeboat Inn.
Ahhhh - Hence spotting you in Sandringham! - Nice pub The Lifeboat. Another favourite of ours is The Victoria at Holkham - but it can get very busy as it attracts all the posh London weekenders with their Chelsea Tractors, Choc Labs & all dressed up in Barbour hoping to 'be like the locals' - Ha, no F'ing chance!!!!!!!!!!!!! - As we say up here - NORFOLK 'N GOOD !!!!!!!

Another favourite of ours is Briarfields in Titchwell just down the road from Thornham, very relaxing there!

@BMBabe now your showing you're youth Stacey (you lucky Zedder you, wish I couldn't remember them ;)) In Somerton Newport (thats Welsh Wales) there is still a blue Police Box ... Yes as in "Doctor Who" now a Grade II listed building

"...just a blond" , take no notice of @hard top Stacey, he wishes he was young enough not to know what it is. Me too, I remember driving along with the old AA badge on the front of the car and getting a salute from the passing AA man on his motorbike and sidecar.

My dad had a huge metal one on the grill of his car.
Think there was some kind of rivalry between the AA and the RAC back in the day and members of the AA would look down on members of the RAC.....

How the world has changed eh?
But not for the better.
