I just found my step dad’s cigarettes in a compartment I discovered today. 😂😂. They have been in there for 20 years! I have a 1997 without a subwoofer and found it while working on the larger storage compartment lid that has been rattling around for 5 years.

I’m going to have to find glue or something to remedy the issue. Damn plastic parts. 5 of 10 are broken.
Cheers,
John

I thought this was neat too. Month and year etched into the inside of the storage compartment lid.

Here we go. Replacing the 5 broken with 10/24 Well Nuts. Plan is to sand down nubs from broken pieces and replace with Well Nuts that I plan to glue in place. Size looks like a match and most are on flat surfaces. LFG!

Could you not use "Rivnuts"?

Tony.

It’s sanded and ready for glue. Wish me luck.

The word was Rivnuts. Look it up.

Tony.

Sorry Tony. That was a spell check issue. I looked up Rivnuts. They are very similar to the Well Nuts I used.
I let the glue settle overnight and I’m pleased with with the adhesion of the Well Nuts. This morning I glued a washer to the inside portion to reinforce the two holes that cracked. I will let them sit for 5 hours or so and reassemble and install.
