I'm way too young for all of this , but...
the Nenette Duster hasn't been forgotten, there exist great alternatives even today

my dad had the duster and made his own one wheel trailer...
I had some of the chrome trim rings for the wheels.
I had the sheepskin headrests that went over the front seats, fake sheepskin seat covers,
Raydyot stick on heated rear window, Sparkrite ignition and alarm, Sharp radio cassette, Audioline graphic equaliser/booster and 50w Pioneer speakers.

Wow. There's some memories in there . . .

I do remember my very first car - a 1966 Rover 2000 - bought in 1981 with 45,000 miles on the clock. This was in South Africa, so it was an export model, which had a few modifications. It had no radio, so I bought a radio and separate graphic equalizer to bodge into the dash, to discover the car was positive earth. Who thought that was a good idea ? Have you ever tried mounting electricals isolating them from earth ?

I hated that car . . .

I received one of these years ago as a Christmas present, a 12 volt heater fan.

I remember most of these , I was a regular visitor at my local accessory shop, many of these items are still used today. I had a Mini 850 which had white stripes on the bonnet, a white roof, seat covers with padded bolsters, wheel spacers, G800 tyres, 1"1/2 su carbs bought secondhand on a manifold, jetting? whats that.Peco Big bore silencer, 8 track, numerous types of foglamps.
The good thing was there were no computer crap or sensors to worry about.
My brother has just bought a 1963 MGB I am thinking about going the same way. When I was seventeen or so my mates all had sports cars, TR2,Sunbeam Alpine, TR3, MGB odd man out had a Morris Oxford.

Best thing about the SU carbs was that although the main jets were interchangeable they were also almost infinitely adjustable and very easy to do. You soon picked out the idle “sweet “ spot.

Some cracking "accessories" there...personally I never drive without a spare canoe in the car!

She used to be in “Bread”, Lilo Lil. The actress died last week.

There were several shops in local towns selling all these type of things. One I bought was an extension for the original Mini “pudding stirrer” gear stick which you set up the crank the end back and over to the right for easier changes. The best option was a complete remote gear change bolted to the inside of the floor but these were outside my price range, until I found one in a scrap yard.

Monowheel trailers? Proper boytoy, with explosive bolts for a bit of quick-release when the sh1t starts flying. Yes, explosive bolts on a petrol tank. Elf n safety, eh?
