Lincoln - Anyone???

Apparently a Plastic Pig will get you all the waves you want. . . . . . . If you dare drive one.=))

I don't think they'll be waves, just people urging you to slow down!

Can't see to many here trading their Zed for a reliant robin just at present either.... Even for a wave!

You would have to be very desperate, I concede that ! :)

Hi,yes it is a very nice run on a sunny day like Saturday was but not so nice when the clouds are low and overcast. Maybe nice to turn off the 628 and head back towards Sheffield through Glossop( A57 I think ) . I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.:)

Hello,

I'm back in my Zed, and I'm a Lincoln lad born and bred.
I've had one thumbs up on the bypass from another Z3 but that was last year!

Regards,

Dave

Hey Dave, I work in Lincoln and I'm back to work tomorrow after 3 weeks in Florida. What colour is your car? I think you told me once before it was silver? Spotted a green one in Saxilby this morning but it was parked on Mill Lane so no chance of a wave! I come into town on the A 57 across the by pass at the Carholme roundabout. I will look out for you, cheers Tony.

I saw one on the way back from Louth on Friday BEEP BEEEEEEP no way s/he would have missed me.

I am not kidding.
Currently fines range from €240 for not leaving enough distance with the car in front to €350 for using the horn unnecessarily over here.
They have to catch you in the act though.

If you see a black M pottering about it's probably me ;) I tend to go down the back lanes rather than the bypass to warm the car up as mostly short journeys at the moment.

The last time I saw a Z8 on the road @Rev it had an escort. It was down on the A12, I had some friends in my 3 series and we happened to be going the same way. We got blocked by a black merc or something who closed us off at roundabout while the Z8 made off. Was about 1 in the morning as far as I remember, many years ago. I wondered what it was coming up behind us as the blue tint of the lights were rare back then and then when it passed the reds on the rear looked so nice, again, nothing that you would normally see back then. Needless to say I didn't get a wave on that occasion :D

I'm beginning to get a picture of where abouts you are now. I've played in the Fosse Darts League since 1987 and we get out to The Green Man at Norton Disney across to Collingham and right to Knaith Park near Gainsborough and every where in between so it's a big area.

For me to get a wave from another Z3 driver around here I'll have to buy another one and let someone drive it. Never seen one in my province or anywhere else but Vancouver Island where our new member lives so now there are two out west and one in Calgary. Google the atlas folks, it's a long way off from here. I usually run the roads parallel to the bypass from Thorpe on the Hill up past the Doddington Hall/Skellingthorpe area. Especially when the bypass is closed like it has been a few times recently. The other week it took 45 minutes to get from the Damons roundabout to Thorpe on the Hill when the bypass was closed as some window cleaner had decided to park half on the path and half on the road near the railway inn so the cars couldn't pass him creating a huge tailback.
