Let's see your Pets!

Other than the granddaughter Trinity this is the only pet we have these days. Yesterday he walked around us very comfortably eating for about an hour while we emptied the car, slammed doors etc. hopefully by summers end he'll fit in the freezer!! Just kidding!! Yes he is a pet his stable nickname is actually "Pet" as he is so precious. He has competed (raced) both on the flat and over hurdles, was in training for 5 years, Weatherbys registered name is Smiles Better, his actual name to me is Rocket. He can do roughly 40mph flat out and can accelerate to that speed in about 2.5 seconds. I have owned 3 separate Z cars in the past ending up with an early breadvan Z3M, he is about as quick as that off the line.

Above is him dipping his toe into some dressage. Yes that is a body protector I am wearing in a walk/trot test. I have broken my ribs twice and separated a shoulder by being dumped on the ground whilst schooling him. It's a massive change from race horse to dressage horse.

WOW!!!!!!! What a beauty. You certainly can't get a Zed in that color!!!!!!!!! Frankie

Frankie mate, that is awesome. What a great family pet that cat is. Or it just hates dogs, either way, cats rule!

Tony.

Afraid I don't really apriciate cats, but I can see that a lot of folks enjoy them,I just wish they would put a collar and a bell on them.what other "pet" is allowed to wander around unsupervised, deficating ,killing wildlife and spreading disease? If you are a responsible cat owner well done..... I'm afraid there are too many of the other kind.keep your dog or cat in your garden or on a lead.Rant over as a side note it may be the owners that I don't like and not the cat

@miller1098's quote: ".what other "pet" is allowed to wander around unsupervised, deficating ,killing wildlife and spreading disease?"

After viewing the video I posted, one might be inclined to answer "dogs", however, this would be incorrect. To qualify dogs, you would have to and the phrase: "and attack and on rare occasions, kill people." Frankie

I hesitate to think how much more serious the injuries of the young boy would be were it not for the family cat. I wonder who trained the cat for that response? Frankie....opening a can or worms................

I may be wrong but do they have a warden to pick up unsupervised cats?

Dogs here are supposed to be licenced but cats don't. That way if they have a tag and are loose they can track the owners and ticket them. Not so with cats, they usually end up in the humane society and if the owners don't claim them and pay the costs they go to kittie heaven at an alarming rate simply due to humans who claim to love and adore their cats still allow them to roam free and breed indiscriminately. Then they take the kits to the same HS building where some get adopted but most are euthanized. Just saying!! JIM
