Let the Z3 Baking Commence - tried and failed

What sizes should I make them? My wife tells me that cookie cutters are about 50mm deep and the dough starts thick and sort of squidges flat when cooked.

Depends what kind of cookie you're making. Some mixes are much firmer than others, if you see what I mean, but most cutters don't need to be more than 10 mm deep. Needs to be quite a stiff material, too, no good being all floppy.

I've drawn some 3d models for some moulds. I'd need to buy some food safe filament and a stainless steel nozzle. If anyone is interested, let me know...
Soooo to ensure it’s a genuine M cookie what special ingredients will it need?

Can’t just be badge excersise after all,
otherwise it will have to be an ‘M Performance’ logo..

Side view of a Z would be nice. The coupe would suit the greedier members, I guess. And that'll include me.

I'll have one with a roof rack then, and a big spoiler

Tony.

:thumbsup:Cheers Ian, I'd forgotten that mate, with the Z3 Sofa loaded on top too?

Tony.

The outlay would be around £50, so if I would want £50 of advanced orders (I won't want the money in advance, just the commitment to buy), as I have no use for food safe filament or a stainless steel nozzle.

A 750g roll of either black or transparent is around £40 and the stainless steel nozzles are £5 each.

Although there is a lot of wastage, I would expect to be able to produce at loads of moulds, so you can probably have as many as you want (within reason;))

BMW Logo (92mm x 92mm x 14.65mm) uses 40g of filament.
M Coupe side view (66 x 40 x 8.2) uses 10g.
M Logo (89 x 44 x 8.66) uses 10g.

If you can think of any other moulds that I could do (doesn't need to be BMW related), let me know.

I suggest that 5 people spending £10 and ordering 5 moulds may be possible.

If it looks like a go-er, I'll produce some non-food-safe moulds and send them out for comment.

108 wheels :D

Other wheels might be available too

Is there a site with drawings of wheels? They need to be line drawings, not images.
I’ll see what I can do in photoshop when I get back home.

I’m aware of that @Pingu there’s some nice model rc airplanes that’s got me interested in 3D printers that you have to glue sections together but they hold up to flying stresses. Just an interesting idea if any of the filaments out there are tough enough to with stand stone chips and combinations of the weather elements.

Sry for off topic @BMBabe but awaiting for your cookie photos or did Martin scoff them before you got the chance?
