Yeah I've been reading about it. It's not known if the owner is on board. As an ex aircraft engineer it's a strange one, it's very very rare that a malfunction causes a crash, especially on such a well looked after helicopter. But an experienced pilot landing there every week shouldnt have made an error to cause it to crash. Very strange.

I've read he was on board with 3 others.

Tragic.
Yet another football club owner involved in a helicopter accident after a match. :(

While helicopters are perfectly able to take off vertically i’m Wondering if repeated take offs from football stadiums puts too much stress into the aircraft. They normally transition into forward flight ASAP after leaving the ground. Having to fly vertically for maybe 200 feet to clear the stadium before moving forward is going to stress the engine and gearboxes more than getting lift flying forwards.

It's so sad :(
One minute your enjoying yourselfs , the next minute your gone :(
So tragic , another family won't be the same ever again , my heart goes out to all the poor families concerned .......

Oh dear don't know if the main man was in it? I take it no one walked away?

Don't think anyone walked away
Just seen his daughter wasn't on the helicopter
So they say at the moment

So much heartache for all the families, so sad

Tragic news.

Still no official word on who was aboard, but if the owner wasn't you would have thought that they would have very quickly said so.

Nothing official but it's sounding strongly like the owner and his son and daughter. An awful tragedy anyway but to loose three members of the same family must be devastating.

Local news earlier said the daughter wasn’t on board but not confirmed. Likely to be a few days before anything official comes out. Got the problem of communicating across half the globe too.
All very sad for everyone involved.

Confirmed the owner was on board along with 2 staff and 2 aircrew. All died in the crash :(

Yeah, sounded like a very good man, football needs more of them. Also sad for the whole city of Leicester for his philanthropic donations to the City.

Footage already on YouTube, I'd say tail rotor failure :(

Oh god that is awful to watch. :(
