Legal cover

Hi , have received my car insurance renewal from Saga and IT'S GONE DOWN IN PRICE to £131 for fully comp with full no claims discount , 3000 miles annual mileage , car is 1998 2.8 .
Question is has anybody any experience of stand alone legal cover as this seems far cheaper than buying with car insurance and as it's personal policy saves buying twice as I have two car's

Legal cover is a complete and utter scam, avoid at all costs. Albany Assistance being a prime example.

In the event of an accident,

they rent a loan car at an inflated rate for a kick-back off the car hire firm, but in your name so you are liable in the event the insurers don't pay.

they "handle" your claim, means they offer your claim to a selection of no win, no fee solicitors and the firm that bids the highest for your claim, gets the job.

they organise medical reports by doctors that can't tell left from right.

they organise prefered physiotherapists based miles away, again for a kickback.

the list goes on........

I'll give you one guess who's had a bad experience.

Just noticed our Home & Contents insurance has the following.

What is insured
"Legal costs up to £50,000 to provide you , or your family living in your home, with advice and help with the cost of legal representation"
