Owned the car (1999 1.9 Palmetto Green metallic ) for 16 days now.
Done 690 miles comprising The Lake District. Northumberland hills, up the Dales into Cumbria and a few local miles. Averaged 36mpg. Haven't seen another Z3 on the road yet
. Plenty of 4's tho.
Loved every mile of it and am becoming a fan of the 4 cylinder.
So far.....
Fixed the water leak in the boot (ariel and third light gaskets).
Tidied door handles by fitting new gaskets.
Polished haze offa the headlights.
Lumpy tick over will be helped by fitting MAF rubber boot and crankcase hoses(split but new coming Tues).
Tramlines as good as the best but proper tyre pressures have helped a little (running 225s atm but can live with it tbh).
Oh and the seat rail spacers have been fitted too.
Nothing wrong with it according to the salesman haha.
My only regret is that we didn't get one sooner.
Looking forward to many more miles and with the help of this great Forum, lots more help with the repairs.
