@BMBabe leak from the Base of the door is because the membrane behind the door card must be unstuck at the bottom or missing. The water runs down the window and some finds it's way past the seal, this then drips off the base of the winder and because of the door shape some drips onto the membrane and is then supposed to run off and out the drains in the bottom of the door. Sorry but door card off find the gap in the adhesive and either silicone or butyl strip and seal the gap. Will post a pic when the pic is on.

Are you 100% sure its from the bottom of the door? Have you sat in it and watched the water flow? I recently had water coming in which looked like it came from the bottom of the door, infact it was from the seal by the qtr light. The seal slightly changes shape at this point and was letting water in. The water was running down the back of the seal and then along the bottom of the door and into the cabin. I was sure it was from the bottom of the door but the water could be easily seen when I recently had all my interior out.

FYI my car currently doesnt have an membrane in the door panels, and hasn't for as long as I have owned it (something else I found out when I recently had the interior out) and I have never had water come through the door.

Hi @BMBabe and @bertiejaffa I was only going from my experience as we had the under the carpets wet and when we played the hose on the window we could see the water dribble out from between the membrane and door. Since I sealed it no further leaks.
The only way to see where leaks are is the hosepipe test especially as it put more water on than most rain does.
I would also think some door seals are worn or not as flexible now as when first made so this could add to problems with leaks and car doors have drain holes for a reason as they all leak.
